Under the University Foundations Act, the UBC Foundation was established in 1987 as an Agent of the Crown to encourage financial support for UBC and its programs, facilities and activities, and to receive funds and property for the benefit of UBC.
As an Agent of the Crown, the UBC Foundation is a qualified ‘donee’ under the income tax act and therefore able to issue charitable tax receipts for bequests and other gifts received for the benefit of UBC.
In most circumstances, prospective donors are able to support UBC directly. For more information on donating to UBC, please visit: https://give.ubc.ca/. Donations to the UBC Foundation are usually made due to specific circumstances and should be pre-arranged by contacting the foundation by the form below.
